This Technique Eliminates Procrastination Completely

How many times have you started a new habit only to quit after a few days? If you’re like I was, the answer is probably, ‘way too often.’ I had no real strategy to overcome procrastination.

We all know forming a new habit is tough — I don’t need to remind you of that. Leading a prosperous and healthy life is challenging, and if it were easy, everyone would do it.

It’s also common sense that starting small increases your chances of success. “Don’t overwhelm yourself at the beginning, or you’ll find more reasons to give up.” That’s solid advice, and I’m not going to dispute it.

But surprisingly, most people don’t actually start small. I see more people going big from the outset.

Why is that? I think it’s because we often get too excited about making a change. When we dream about improving our lives and start believing in it, that excitement tends to take over, leading us to take on too much, too soon.

But how do I stop myself from getting overly excited?

To be clear, I don’t think excitement is bad. You need the energy to make a change. And it’s great to be fired up about achieving something in your life. Always remind yourself that you want to stay fired up. Because when things get hard, we can…
