Don’t forget Canada, and his “joking” about it being a state already. That is what he does when he floats an unpopular idea — he characterizes it as a joke until other people somehow legitimize his “humor”. Canadians may not share his joviality, but Senator Bernie Sanders already supports Trump on the Canadian question. As long as the U.S. adopts Canada’s healthcare system, the senator stipulates. He may have been facetious, but don’t be surprised if Trump takes the senator up on his idea.
