Emotional Rewards: The Ultimate Motivation for Daily Exercise

Many people have tried adopting a running habit but soon discover that the best workout routine often involves a mix of strength training and cardio.
Regardless of the specific activity, the important thing is to incorporate some form of daily exercise. The focus should be on achieving an emotional payoff, which makes consistency much easier. Doing something small each day that feels good becomes manageable even during tough or busy times.
Initially, the excitement may come from completing the day’s workout, but over time, true consistency comes from the feeling of accomplishment after reaching a daily goal.
Whether it’s a cardio day or strength training day, even a 30-minute walk can make a difference if time is limited. Even after a long day of sitting, taking that walk can lead to feeling much better afterward. This is the key to maintaining a consistent exercise habit.
Know your why
Make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons. That will ensure it will be sustainable for you. And that it will be worth it.
If you’re exercising for superficial reasons, you likely won’t hit your goal. Because your “why” may be the only thing pulling you towards action when you don’t feel like it.
